EU AI ACT · ARTICLE 4

Show who was trained on AI, and when

Article 4 of the EU AI Act asks providers and deployers to support the AI literacy of their staff. The register keeps the record a reviewer can check: people, sessions, attendance and whether each person's training is still current.

Example data with fictional people. Each session proposes Article 4 evidence; it counts once a person confirms it.

An AI literacy register for Article 4 of the EU AI Act

Who uses AI, who was trained, when, and whose training is about to lapse. Each session with attendees becomes Article 4 evidence for a person to confirm.

  1. Training needs in Fencia: an AI system in use, the CV screening model, with no current session on it, and the options Record a session on it and Ask the agent for a plan.

The AI systems nobody has been trained on

Fencia crosses your AI inventory with your sessions and lists the systems people use without current training, widest use first. Record a session or ask the agent for a training plan.

Blocked systems are left out of the list

  2. Training sessions: an AI use policy workshop on October 4, 2026 with one attendee, valid until October 4, 2027, with evidence proposed for Article 4, and a second session with no attendees and no evidence.

    Sessions that become evidence

Record the date, format, attendees and how long the training stays valid. A session with attendees proposes evidence for Article 4 and, by equivalence, ISO/IEC 42001 clause 7.2.

It counts once a person confirms it

  3. Staff register: a person whose AI training is current, last trained on October 4, 2026 and valid until October 4, 2027, with options to add workspace members or add people by hand.

Who is current, and who is due

Add people by hand, bring in workspace members or import the CSV your learning platform exports. Each person shows as current, renewing within 30 days, expired or never trained.

The account owner is reminded 30 and 7 days before training lapses

Real Fencia screens from a test workspace. Names and data are fictional.

Before you start the register

The register records training; it does not judge whether a programme is enough for your context. Proposed evidence stays unconfirmed until a person reviews it.

Does Article 4 require a specific format?

No. Article 4 asks providers and deployers to support the AI literacy of their staff; the register keeps a record a reviewer can check.

Which plans include it?

Every paid plan.

Can I share it?

Export it as a CSV for an auditor or adviser. On your Trust Center you can show the share of staff with current training, never names.

Does it judge whether the training is enough?

No. It records training and its validity; whether a programme fits your context is for your team to decide.
